On 28 November, GIS AG held its Christmas party at the St. Mauritz restaurant in Schötz. Around 150 guests, including many retired former colleagues, were treated to excellent food and warm hospitality by the Mauritz team, who helped to create a wonderful atmosphere for the evening.
After the starter and main course, comedy duo Scheppe & Boko took to the stage and promptly transformed the hall into a racecourse. Riding their ‘racing ostriches’, the pair put on a lively show, complete with the British national anthem and a dramatic photo finish.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., CEO Ivan Muri addressed those present. In his speech, he looked back on a year that had brought some challenges, but also had small and large success stories to offer. With an optimistic outlook for 2026, the CEO made it clear that GIS AG will not rest on its laurels, but will tackle ambitious projects in the near future. The next item on the agenda was an interactive survey in which employees were able to contribute their assessments and suggestions for everyday business.
Amidst loud applause, the numerous service anniversary celebrants were then invited onto the stage and thanked for their many years of loyalty and great commitment to the company.
Ivan Muri ended his speech with a quote from Goethe that perfectly summed up the year in review: ‘Even from stones placed in your path, you can build something beautiful.’
After the delicious dessert, the official part of the evening was over, but the party was far from finished. The celebration came to a close with a warm and friendly get-together, good conversation and a great atmosphere. As a gift, all guests were given a bulging Santa Claus bag to take home with them.
