Public transport

GIS electric chain hoists and crane systems are used by numerous suppliers and manufacturers of public transport vehicles – from trains, subways and trams to coaches, public buses, ships and aeroplanes, as well as funicular railways and cable cars. On the one hand, they support machine feeding in the production of components, and on the other hand, they are indispensable aids in the maintenance and servicing of vehicles.

The use of safety-related crane systems in the SBB's service facilities shows how diverse the requirements are and how our crane systems can be flexibly adapted to the respective working environment.
